Who am I?

This bio is terribly out of date! For more in-date information please visit http://grimalk.in/

I studied my MA in Religious Studies at the University of Aberdeen from 2007-2011, and my MPhil in Classical Indian Religion at the University of Oxford, Wolfson College, from 2011-2013. The title of my dissertation was ‘Stories of Success: The Role of Narrative in Nepalese Buddhist vratakathā literature.’ Currently I am studying for my PhD at Cardiff University, researching more thoroughly the vrata literature and stories of Nepal.

I also like cats, sci-fi and video games.

This is a blog primarily for my research but you might also enjoy it if you like {fantasy inspired recipes}, {dinosaurs}, {video games}, {retro japan}, {virtual worlds}, or unusual themes in {speculative fiction} like {ecology} and {economics}.
I also post {Sanskrit} and {Japanese} translations.

I can also be found at Monstography, or occasionally Tweeting.
